I wanted to say thank you for the amazing job you did.I`m glad you decided to do internal sutures. I`ve noticed the difference as soon as I woke up from my surgery and people around me have noticed it too. When I found your web site about a year ago I was stunned at the results on your patients, but I never thought that one day I would take this step and fly so far away to have my breast done. Your quick responses to all my emails and questions really suprised me . I could see that you and all of your team were definitely at ease with far away patients. Anyhow I decided to go and I`m happy I did. Your warm personality,, the great team that works with you makes us feel secure even when we come from far away and are traveling alone (I had a wonderful nurse to take care of me by the way) . Thanks again you truly are a one of a kind doctor.

This 35-year-old patient from Fredericksburg, Virginia had breast augmentation surgery performed by a previous surgeon and was left with unsatisfactory results. She did not feel comfortable returning to her previous surgeon for her revisionary breast surgery and decided to do more research to find a more qualified surgeon. She came across Dr. Pousti’s website and was very impressed with his before and after pictures as well as his credentials and experience. She knew he was the right surgeon for her breast revision surgery and knew the travel from Virginia to California would be worth it.

She was interested in removing her previous implants and replacing them with larger breast implants. The patient also expressed to Dr. Pousti her desire for more upper fullness.

A small incision is made along the areola and the previous breast implants are moved. The breast pockets are then opened up to give the new larger implants more room. Sizers are used to determine the size of the breast implant needed to meet the patient’s size goals. The patient is placed in an upright position several times over the duration of the breast procedure to make sure symmetry is achieved.

650cc Silicone gel implants were used in both breasts. The patient is extremely happy with the results of her surgery.

Unfortunately I had to have a revision only 10 months after my initial augmentation because only 4 months after my first surgery I had apparently encapsulated on both sides. My new surgeon found no scar tissue, no encapsulation, but he did find that the pockets were not big enough, even for my smaller implants, and the type and shape of the implants were wrong. He fixed everything, I look great and now 7 months post revision my breasts are still soft!! Everything was handled with professionalism, grace and compassion.

Hi !

I am from Canada and I wanted to share how glad I am to have chosen Dr.Pousti to do my breast latest surgery . Last fall after a breast augmentation surgery (here in Canada) I wasn’t really satified with the results. After going on the web, I came across a few girls whom I really like the results of their breast surgery and then found out that their Doctor was Dr.Pousti. So I went to his website. I was really impressed but I thought that California was pretty far away from home for a surgery since I live in Eastern Canada.

But after inquiring with out of states patients, I decided to send an email. I was answered pretty quickly. After a few mails and a few phone calls with Dr.Pousti, I was conviced and decided to go along with the surgery. Everything went so smoothly, they accomodated me for the scheduled surgery, contacted me by phone and emails and then I flew in the San Diego area.

Dr.Pousti and his entire staff, are warm and friendly, very professional and Dr.Pousti was very honest about the result. The surgery went wonderfully well , the next day I was travelling around the town and felling just fine ! I was verry happy with the results (and still am after 3 and a half months). I feel that Dr.Pousty listened to my needs. Back home, Dr.Pousti and his staff checked on me regulary and I always felt cared for even now so far from his clinic.

I am very happy I`ve decided to fly to California to have my surgery done by him. My only regret is not to have herd of him earlier. It would have saved me a lot of unwanted surgeries to get what I wanted .

This 23 year old patient from Colorado Springs, Colorado was left unsatisfied with her previous breast augmentation surgery. She did not feel comfortable going back to her previous surgeon near her hometown for breast revision surgery, so she decided to look into plastic surgeons that were experienced with breast augmentation revisionary surgeries and came across Dr. Pousti’s website. She was extrememly impressed with the vast amount of information and photos displayed on Dr. Pousti’s website.

After exchanging emails with Dr. Pousti, the patient decided to travel to California to meet with Dr. Pousti in person. She immediately felt comfortable with him and his credentials and experience pushed all her fears aside and felt prepared for her revisionary breast surgery. The patient met with Dr. Pousti quite a few times before her procedure to review the breast revision in detail.

Markings of the patient’s breasts are performed prior to surgery to indicate changes that are needed. The red arrows marked indicate where the patient wants more fullness and helps Dr. Pousti determine where the breast pocket revision needs to take place. Once these markings are completed the previous breast implants are removed through small incisions along the areola (usually the same incision that was originally used will be used again to prevent more scars).

The patient is placed in an upright position several times during the procedure to ensure symmetry is achieved. Once the old implants are removed and breast pocket correction is performed, sizers are set in place. These sizers help determine the size of the implant Dr. Pousti will use and also help him see what the potential results will look like before anything is finalized.

To meet the patient’s size goals and meet her desired look Saline Overfill implants were used. The patient has 1,110 cc on both sides.

The patient is a extremely happy with her revisionary breast surgery results.

This 37 year old patient from Menifee, California previously had a breast augmentation performed in 2000 and was extrememly unsatisfied with her results. The patient was unhappy with her round and hard breasts. She wanted soft breasts that had a pleasing shape. and appearance. She also complained of pain in her breasts because the implants were not placed in the correct position.

After consulting with Dr. Pousti, an examination was performed and he determined that the patient had capsular contracture present. This is also known as scar tissue which is formed around the breast implant. When scar tissue is present it can be very painful and if not fixed promptly it can become extremely painful.

After talking to Dr. Pousti about the proposed procedure, the patient wanted to continue with surgery. Measurements and markings were performed and the patient was taken into the operating room to being her revisionary breast surgery. The first step of the procedure is to remove her old breast implants and the scar tissue that has formed around them.

Once the implants and scar tissue is removed the patient’s breast pockets are then revised to prevent the same outcome as her previous surgery. Because she was interested in achieving more cleavage the pockets were opened up more in the center of the chest wall to allow for the implants to sit nicely, where as before, the implants were positioned far apart.

Dr. Pousti used 350cc Silicone Gel Implants in the patient’s breasts to meet her size expectations.

Before Revisionary Breast Surgery

Immediately After Breast Revision

She is very happy with the results of her breast surgery.

This 45 year old from Lancaster, California had been interested in Revisionary Breast Surgery for several years. The position, shape, and symmetry of her previous breast augmentation had left her completely dissatisfied. The left nipple/areola pointed “up and out”and made the patient very uncomfortable in and out of clothes. The patient did her research to find the most experienced plastic surgeon in regards to revisionary breast augmentation surgery and found Dr. Pousti.

Dr. Pousti examined the patient and discussed revisionary breast augmentation surgery. They discussed how her left implant had “bottomed out” and how capsulorrhaphy (internal bra) would be beneficial to reach her goals. Below, the arrows indicate where the patient wished for more “fullness” and how an inferior capsulorrhaphy (internal sutures) would help her achieve that goal.

Below – in the operation room – with the patient’s breast implants removed.

Using the Keller Funnel to place the silicone gel breast implant after the internal pocket work is completed.

Immediately after the surgery is completed in the operating room – you can see the improved symmetry.

The patient is extremely happy with her results. She understands that it takes time for everything to heal and settle.

First and foremost I want to thank Dr. Pousti and his staff for such a positive experience. Prior to meeting Dr. Pousti I had undergone two breast augmentation surgeries. I had my first in 2005 and my second in 2007. In 2007 I maxed out what was the traditional “conservative” plastic surgeon’s recommendation with 800cc silicone implants. I loved the results but I went on to have two amazing daughters which I breastfed back to back in 2010 and 2011. My breasts needed some work. They weren’t as perky anymore and I had lost some of my own breast tissue from nursing. I also had lateral displacement of my implants. Basically, when I laid on my back my breasts went into my armpits which left quite a considerable space in my cleavage area. I also knew I wanted to go bigger. Here is when the research started-I met with my former plastic surgeon and his opinion was that I needed a full anchor lift and all the scarring that came with that. I felt it was overkill and was saddened by the recommendation but I booked my surgery trusting his advice. After more thought, I decided to look into the option of over filled saline implants and maybe a little “pocket tightening”. I first learned about Dr. Pousti from his AMAZING website. The testimonials and photos said it all. I knew I needed to rethink my decision and have a phone consultation with him. I emailed photos (frontal and side) and he got back to me via telephone very promptly. To my excitement he told me he thought I didn’t need a lift. He also was willing to go as big as was safe for my body. I canceled my other surgery and put down my deposit for my surgery in San Diego. The website and staff had wonderful recommendations on which hotels they recommended their patients stay at and the hotels even offered a discount for being his patient. I was also given the name of a great after surgery recovery nurse who went on to do a phenomenal job of taking care of me post op for the first 24 hours. When I met Dr. Pousti for my pre op the day before surgery I instantly knew I had made the right decision to have my surgery performed by him. He is such a skilled, caring and kind person. At my pre op he recommended I have internal sutures placed to correct my implant displacement and promised he would take great care of me. I am absolutely insanely in LOVE with my new breasts. I would never trust my body to another plastic surgeon after meeting Dr. Pousti. As a former model, I can tell you that I almost idolize the man for giving me back the breasts I had before having my children. I would recommend Dr. Pousti to anyone who wants the job done right. Flying out for surgery, especially alone, can be a scary thought but it is such a worthy investment. The moment you walk into his office-no matter the distance you have traveled-you will feel at home. Thank you Dr. Pousti for changing my body and my life.

This 27 year old from Livermore, California was interested in Breast Revision Surgery. The patient was extrememly upset with her previous breast surgery after breastfeeding two children. She was not happy with the shape and size of her breasts as well as the placement of her implants. She also complained of the implants falling to the side when lying down, which bothered her as well. The patient wanted to replace her current implants with fuller and rounder implants with more cleavage concentration towards the mid line of her chest. After consulting in plastic surgeon’s near her home, she felt that none of them would achieve the results she desired. She was researching the internet for a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with extensive experience in revisionary breast procedures when she found Dr. Pousti’s website. His credentials and albums of “before and after photos” containing cases similar to hers, helped the patient decide the trip from Northern California to Southern California would be well worth it.

After communicating through emails and phone calls, the patient arrived in San Diego to discuss her options with Dr. Pousti. He felt that she would benefit from revisionary breast surgery as well as capsulorrhaphy, to correct the position of her implants while lying down. The patient felt comfortable with proceeding to surgery with Dr. Pousti. Markings were done prior to surgery and then re -checked before beginning the procedure to make changes as needed.

Dr. Pousti exchanged the patients previous implants with new overfilled Saline implants filled to 1530cc on each breast to give the patient her desired fullness. Capsulorrhaphy, also known as pocket correction or the use of internal sutures or an internal bra, was also performed. This procedure includes closing off a portion of the breast pocket to fix displacement of the implant, in this case to fix the problem of the patient’s implants falling off to the side.

Before Capsulorrhaphy/Revisionary Breast Surgery

The red marked area indicates where the patient wants the implants to be placed closer to the mid line of her chest, while the purple arrows show where the patient wants more cleavage/fullness.
